Candidate Eligibility Requirements:
1. Be a United States citizen.
2. Be 18 years of age or older on first day of term to be filled at election.
3. For the office of Mayor or Alderman (City Council member), have resided continuously within the State of Texas for ONE (1) year prior to the filing deadline and within the city limits of BEACH CITY for at least SIX (6) months preceding the filing deadline.
4. Have been a registered voter (possess current voter registration certificate) in the territory elected from by the filing deadline.
5. Have not been convicted of a felony or an offense involving moral turpitude for which the person has not been pardoned or otherwise released from the resulting disabilities.
6. Have not been determined by final judgment of a court to be totally mentally incapacitated or partially mentally incapacitated without the right to vote.
